In the crime scene cleanup industry (in Arizona) we are required by Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) to posses aBiohazardous Medical Waste Transportation License. Although there are many rules in this industry there is very little oversight and dozens of company’s operate without this license. What does that mean for you? Illegal Dumping! Proper disposal facilities will not accept waste from someone who does not posses the proper license and therefor the company is forced to illegally dump. Whether it be in a landfill or the desert this waste can make its way into ground water. Hepatitis can live dormant for a year and be activated by water. The worst case scenario could be a mass outbreak of hepatitis. What are your thoughts?
